Herbs for Bread

This combination of herbs is great:
in the bread machine
to knead into your favorite bread recipe
to sprinkle into a loaf of frozen bread dough

Use 4 teaspoons in a one pound loaf OR 2 Tablespoons in a 1 1/2 pound loaf.

FRENCH BREAD WITH HERBS

1 cup + 3 Tablespoons water
3 1/2 cups bread flour
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
2 Tablespoons HERBS FOR BREAD (Frawley’s Fine Herbary)
1 Tablespoon butter
2 teaspoons yeast
Follow bread machine directions on how to load pan.. Makes 1 1/2 pound loaf.

HERBS for BREAD – BREAD DIPPER

1 teaspoon HERBS for BREAD
2 Tablespoon Olive oil
1 clove garlic, pressed
salt to taste
Mix all above ingredients and let set for 1/2 hour for flavors to blend. Dip your favorite bread.

HERBAL DINNER ROLLS

Your favorite bread or roll recipe OR a loaf of frozen bread dough, thawed
melted butter
1 package Herbs For Bread

Pinch off 1 Tablespoon of dough, dip in butter and put in greased muffin tins. Pinch off another Tablespoon of
dough, dip in butter then in Herbs for Bread. Place in the muffin tin next to the first. Fill all muffin tins repeating the above steps. Let rise until double in size. Bake as directed in bread recipe.

HERBED BUTTER

1 1/2 Tablespoon Herbs for Bread
1 stick butter, softened

Mix the two ingredients together and spread on fresh baked bread. OR Spread on French bread, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and place under the broiler until bubbling.

Sprinkle on a tossed salad.

Sprinkle on sliced tomatoes.

Sprinkle on fish, meat or poultry before grilling.

FLOWER POT BREAD

Thaw out 1 pound frozen bread dough. Roll out to a 9”X6” rectangle. Sprinkle with Super Seasoning, Italian Seasoning, Herb Lemon Butter or Cinnamon Spice Fruit Dip or HERBS for BREAD (all Frawley’s Fine Herbary Mixes). Roll up like a jelly roll. Cut into thirds. Place each piece (swirled side up) into seasoned flower pot that has been sprayed and dusted with cornmeal. Let rise until doubled (about 1 inch from top of pot. Bake at 375º F for about 30 minutes.
